Tell Congress: Deliver Year‑Round E15 Now

Made with American biofuels, E15 saves consumers money, reduces emissions and creates jobs in rural communities. It also promises to open a reliable market for U.S. farmers struggling amid a record crop surplus, declining commodity prices, and surging input costs. Now more than ever, American farmers need stable prices and secure demand.

Tell Congress to support the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act (S. 593/H.R. 1346), bipartisan legislation introduced by Senators Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) and Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) and Representatives Adrian Smith (R-Neb.) and Angie Craig (D-Minn.) which would allow the permanent, nationwide sale of E15.

Enjoying an average cost savings of 10 to 30 cents per gallon, American drivers have logged more than 185 billion miles on the road using E15.

Tell your elected official that the time is now to make year-round E15 the law of the land.

Dear [Lawmaker],

I write to urge you to support legislation to permanently lift outdated regulations on the year-round sale of E15. Amid a record crop surplus, declining commodity prices, and surging input costs, American farmers need access to reliable markets for their harvest. E15 will bring desperately needed relief to rural communities, while delivering for American energy security.

Currently sold at over 4,300 gas stations in 33 states, E15 is an affordable and engine-smart fuel blended with 15 percent ethanol that offers drivers better performance, lower emissions, and bigger savings every time they fill up at the pump.

E15 offers consumers an average savings of up to 10 to 30 cents per gallon. Today, the popularity of higher ethanol blends is rising faster than ever, and American drivers have now logged more than 185 billion miles on the road using E15.

America is the world’s largest producer of biofuels, and we should be making use of our full capacity in the push for greater energy security and cleaner air. That’s why I urge you to support the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act (S. 593/H.R. 1346), legislation which would permanently eliminate the seasonal restrictions on E15.
