I am writing to urge you to vote no on HB 1523.

In its current state, it criminalizes 7-OH. This will not protect kids and consumers, but send them searching for other less-safe, unregulated alternatives underground.

A ban will make it harder and more dangerous to access 7OH, a life-saving healthy alternative to opioids. When products move underground, consumers lose protections, bad actors thrive, and risks increase, especially for young people.

There is a clear, responsible alternative: regulation.

Sensible consumer-protection policies can:
