Help support Turo in Iowa
Dear [Lawmaker],
I’m an Iowan and peer-to-peer car sharing user. I’m writing to you today to voice my support for HF2497 . HF2497 would ensure that your constituents and all Iowans can continue benefiting from peer-to-peer car sharing by cementing rules and regulations around an industry many Iowans benefit from. For many Iowans, peer-to-peer car sharing provides opportunity and flexibility. Iowan car owners, known as hosts, can earn supplemental income by sharing a vehicle they already own – helping cover rising expenses, support their families, and strengthen their financial stability, or simply make ends meet. Visitors and locals alike rely on car sharing for mobility options – whether that’s booking a van for a family trip, a pickup truck for a weekend project, or a reliable vehicle to commute to work in rural communities where transportation options are limited. HF2497 would ensure Iowans can safely access peer-to-peer car sharing services, support their families and enjoy all that Iowa has to offer on the road. Please sign HF2497 into law. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
______
